Secure anti-virus system and effective network

Client

Link Up is a registered charity which supports and promotes friendships and group activities between people with learning disabilities in the Harrow community.

The challenge

The charity needed an expert to check their network system and to provide professional long-term security solutions. The charity's contacts management database also needed to be revamped with extra features.

Our help

Chris Pyne, iT4Communities volunteer with eight years of professional experience, assessed Link Up's network needs and prioritised virus control and backup solutions.

In addition, Robin Rai, another iT4Communities volunteer with 20 years of database experience, improved Link Up's contacts database. He created a new front-end to the database to make it more functional and easy to use.

The result

• A secure anti-virus system and a network that allows the staff to work efficiently,
• An easier to use contacts management database.
